North Dakota University System Interim Chancellor Larry C. Skogen conducted faculty/staff and student open forums at Lake Region State College last Wednesday, January 29 in a continuing effort to encourage open communication throughout the system. They discussed the importance of educating students with soft skills, student affordability, the best ways to measure student success and the opportunities that are abundant now in our state.
While there, Chancellor Skogen also took the chance to visit with seniors of Leeds High School. The seniors had the opportunity to view the State Board of Higher Education meeting that took place at the college Jan. 30. Before the meeting began, Chancellor Skogen talked to the students about the unlimited opportunities that exist for them both in higher education and employment in North Dakota.
Thank you to Lake Region State College for hosting the State Board of Higher Education. Visits like this are a great way for the Board to see firsthand the wonderful work our campuses are doing for our students and for the Chancellor to engage with faculty, staff and even future students.
