Johnson named Interim Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs

June 19, 2018

A new interim vice chancellor of academic and student affairs has been named in North Dakota University System.

Lisa Johnson has now taken on responsibilities as the system’s top academic officer. The position will fill the need after former Vice Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs Richard Rothaus accepted another position outside the system earlier this month.

Johnson previously served as the director of academic affairs, which included overseeing policies relating to transfer students, distance education and veterans.

Chancellor Mark Hagerott said Johnson would be an exemplary fit for the position.

“Ms. Johnson brings extensive expertise across the wealth of diverse topics that exist under the Academic and Student Affairs umbrellas,” Hagerott said. “Her willingness to assume yet more duties in service of our state and the larger NDUS speaks volumes about her passion for education and dedication to this role.
