NDSU blended online nursing program named one of the best in the nation

NDSU’s blended online bachelor of science in nursing program has been recognized as one of the best accredited online BSN programs in the country. The 2018 ranking by highlights accredited, not-for-profit institutions that have developed exceptional academic online programs for students looking to advance their knowledge and skills in nursing. NDSU’s program, which is a blend of online and on-site education, ranked No. 4. Rankings were determined by academic quality, admissions, retention and graduation rates.


Students present innovative projects to the community

Semi-finalists in this year’s Innovation Challenge presented their ideas to the campus and to the public at a project showcase on March 21. Student teams used prototypes, mock-ups, videos, screen shots, working demos and posters to explain their products, services and social impact projects. The final round of competition and the awards ceremony are scheduled for April.


Doctoral student wins Three Minute Thesis Competition

Farnaz Fouladi, a doctoral student in pharmaceutical sciences, won the annual Three Minute Thesis Competition. The event asks graduate students to communicate complex research clearly and concisely in everyday language in preparation for job interviews and the workforce. Fouladi researches the role of gut bacteria in weight loss surgery. She will compete in the regional competition of the Western Association of Graduate Schools in Las Vegas.
